Represent x The Beach Boys
Most band collabs we've done come loaded. Heavy rock, heavy ink, graphics built to sit dense and solid on the chest. This one moves the other way.
The Beach Boys collection grew out of Michael Heaton's own record collection, and it carries the warmth of where that music lives. California in the late afternoon. Salt in the air. Something looser and lighter than anything we've put out under a band name before.
Sixty years of Pet Sounds:
It lands on the 60th anniversary of Pet Sounds. That record was the band stepping away from the surf and the sun toward something stranger and more personal, the moment they moved from where they were to where they were going. We wanted the collection to hold the same idea. A nod to the tours, to the album, and to the goats on the steps of San Diego Zoo that ended up on a sleeve nobody saw coming.
The Designs:
The printing is where the shift really shows. We pulled from vintage tour tees, but the brief was to repurpose rather than remake. Picture a tee that has already lived a life and been customised since, retrofitted by hand rather than reissued clean. Half-tones sit flat, no gradient, the way print ran in the eighties when a shirt had to be ready before the next city.
Lighter colours throughout. Less intensity than the collabs that came before. It's the most accessible thing we've made in this space, and the freshest with it. The Beach Boys belong to LA, and so does this.
