MISSON.247 RECAP

Twelve hours. Six hundred feet of incline per loop. A slogan stencilled at the mouth of the SkiErg tents that told you exactly what you were walking into: "Welcome to hell."

MISSION.247 came back for its second year and made good on the promise to be harder than the first. The trail through Holme Styes didn't hand anything out. Six hundred feet of elevation on every loop, legs already gone by the afternoon, and a day that wasn't free of injuries. Athletes read that slogan on the way out to the track and again on the way back in. Most of them kept going anyway.

Up top, the result went to the wire. The leaderboard moved all day, positions trading as teams gambled on when to run and when to bank SkiErg metres. Some front-loaded their runners. Some held bodies back and chased distance on the erg. No single plan ran away with it.

When the final scores were confirmed at 7:00 PM, three teams stood on the podium.

RESULTS

1st Phase Seven
2nd Marchon
3rd Phase Seven 7

Paul Spencer, CEO of Represent, didn't hide what the day meant to him.

"I felt like a kid at Christmas this morning. The whole team were awake from 3AM and couldn't sleep. We're a small squad at Represent, trying to build the best brand in the world. This is our second event, we've learned a few things here, and next year it'll be even bigger and better."

That ambition set the brief. "We wanted to make it bigger and better than last year," Spencer said. He got his wish on the difficulty, and the field met him there. "The athletes brought it as much as we made it harder this year." His verdict on the two hundred who turned up was shorter. "The guys were unbelievable."

This year the team took full control of the course, and Spencer thanked the hosts at Wodland for letting them shape the environment on their own terms. He also called out the 247 athletes who carried the camp. "We can't forget to thank our team of 247 athletes, Alfie, Charlie, Russ, Jake, who brought their energy and expertise into the camp." What stuck with him most was less about times and points. "The values that each team brings together is unbelievable."

George Heaton, co-founder, watched the same thing Spencer did: a brutal course that almost nobody quit.

"Barely anyone dropped out, of a tough trail that I wouldn't wish on anyone, never mind twelve times."

Then, already looking at 2027, he left the field with a warning.

"We'll see you again next year, where we make it a little bit harder again."

To the two hundred athletes who ran into hell twelve times. To Wodland for the course. To the 247 athletes who anchored the camp: Alfie, Charlie, Russ and Jake. And to every team that turned up to find out what twelve hours in the Holme Valley actually takes.

Same again next year. A little harder.

THE MISSION:

Twelve hours. Two hundred athletes. £10,000 on the line.

MISSION.247 returns for its second year of the 247 Game series, moving from Rivington to the woodland trails of Holme Styes, Holmfirth. The format is the same brutal equation: a trail loop at the top of every hour, SkiErg metres in whatever time remains, and a leaderboard that never stops moving.

Last year's inaugural event proved what a team of five can survive. This year the terrain changes, and 40 teams of 5 will find out what twelve hours in the Holme Valley actually takes.

For all general queries, contact 247mission@representclo.com

Event Format

40 Teams Of 5
*Minimum one female participant per team.

At the top of each hour, two or more team members must complete a 5.1km trail loop.

Remaining time in the hour is used to accumulate maximum distance on the SkiErg.

Team performance is based on a cumulative point system over 12 hours.

Scoring:
1 Trail Loop Completed= 5 pts
250m SkiErg Completed = 1 pt

Rules & Structure

- A minimum of two runners per team, per round are required to run in order to score additional points on the SkiErg

- If no one runs in a round, the team forfeits 15 points

- If no runner begins within 60 seconds of the hour, 5 points will be deducted

- SkiErg can ONLY be used once the first runner from your team returns

- All athletes must be 18 or older on event day

- The SkiErg will proceed on the last pull until the metres have stopped moving, then scores will be recorded

- SkiErg metres are tallied at the end of each round and divided by 250m to calculate points. Only complete 250m intervals count - any remainder is lost when the SkiErg resets for the next round.

Example: 1,100m accumulated = 4 points (1,000m counted / 100m remainder forfeited)

- Judges' discretion: 500m are deducted if you proceed to use the SkiErg past the hour countdown

- One team entry covers all five competitors. Full team details must be submitted at the point of entry
